Food Bank Volunteers

Volunteer roles

Volunteer Manager: Includes recruitment and training of volunteers, supervising job rotas, and responding to any welfare/safeguarding/health & safety concerns.

Packers: From a list tailored to an individual client, a packer fills bags with food items from the Food Bank’s storage, ready for collection by the client.

Shopping: A shopper visits a supermarket to purchase fresh food, and brings it to Primley Church.

Collections: Food donations are left at supermarkets and some other locations. These need to be collected and brought to Primley church.

Session Leader: Supervises food distribution from Primley Church. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who could fill this role. Full training given

Deliveries: Some clients are unable to collect food in person. Food bags are delivered to the clients address.

Admin: No organisation can run without paperwork or it’s digital equivalent. This is a role for people who are comfortable using a computer.
